The Jadu (더 자두) was a South Korean modern rock co-ed band. It comprised of the female lead Jadu (자두) and the male vocalist Kang Doo (강두). However, Kang Doo left in 2006 to pursue acting and was replaced by Maru (마루). The Jadu (더 자두) started performing in 2001 and has released five albums in total before 2008.

‘김밥 (Kimbap)’ is one of their tracks from The Jadu (더 자두)’s third album, “The Jadu 3.” It compares a male-female relationship to a kimbap; even if the male and female are seen as very different people, when they come together, they can make a good match. The fun lyrics and the lively melody are reasons why many enjoy the song.
